Coach Séguin played the majority of his amateur baseball career in the Ottawa Region first with Canterbury Little League before graduating to various organizations in Baseball Canada. After completing his high school education, he attended Norwalk CTC (Connecticut, US) and was a member of the JUCO World Series Champion baseball team in 1998.

Since 1999, Roch continued his playing career in the NCBL Div 1 division while gaining experience as a coach at the Midget AAA level in Gatineau, offering private lessons to local youth and also in the Sports Études baseball program in the Outaouais Region. After 3 successful years at the Midget AAA level, he was chosen to coach Team Quebec at the 18U National Championship. In 2014 he was the head coach of the Hull-Volant Junior Élite Baseball program in the U22 LBJEQ.

In 2015, Roch decided to go a different route and start a college summer program in the Ottawa area called the Capital City Reds. Since being at the helm the Reds have been to the NABF College World Series 4 years and counting. 9 of his alumni have gone on to play pro baseball (Pecos – CanAm – Frontier) and over 25+ players have gone on to play at various colleges South of the Border!
